  • Wow ...June....was that really the last time I blogged on here.   So sad...Guess I should just close this but I still come almost every day to read the posts of the faithful few left on here.   I so enjoy my facebook too much I guess.  Well Today is another important day.   Today my Anna turned 4.   I can't believe she has grown so much.   She was suppose to have her birthday party this past Saturday but we had to cancel it because she had the swine flu.  She had come home from daycare Thursday evening with fever and Emma had already been home all week sick as well as my hubby.  So Friday I took her and Emma to the dr and they said it was the swine flu.   They gave Anna tamiflu since she was just beginning her sickness.   Emma was at the tail end and starting to do better.  Emma went back to school yesterday and Anna today.   We took cupcakes and goody bags to share with her classmates.

In other news:  Will be having Brittany's baby shower on the 17th.   She is having a little boy and his name will be Landon Phillip. I think I will be "Mimi".   SO lots to do to get ready for the shower and then the birth of Little Landon.

Amberly has been busy with volleyball season which is almost over...I have been keeping the scorebook so have went to every game...Emma is doing youth volleyball on Monday nights...that is when I get her there on time.. I got her there as it ending last night.

Joel is still searching for a job.  As many of you may not know he retired in June.  He kept the girls over the summer while I worked.  Became quite the Mr Mom.   But now its time to get back to work.  Only thing is it may mean relocating.   I don't know how I feel about that with a grandbaby on the way and with Amberly being a Junior this year.   We have our girls in our churches private christian school and it is by far the cheapest of all those around us.  The other schools around us are double and even triple the tuition cost and its all we can do to pay what were paying now.   The thought of putting them in public school just scares me.   So we are just praying God's will.   He has a phone interview with Austin this week.

I have really enjoyed joining a Bunco group.  It is nice to get away and have me fun once a month.  This month the we will get to dress up in costumes.  The only bad thing is they postponed it a week and its on the same day as the baby shower..but in the evening.

So you can see its been really busy around here....so busy I don't even have time to pay attention sometimes... I am so ready for a little downtime before the holidays get underway.  Amberly only has three more volleyball games so that will give me a little relief.   Well guess that's all for now...

    Have a Blessed Day!

  • Wow a whole month has passed...I am so sorry...I will admit I have been facebooking way too much instead of being a faithful blogger.  But I have had some great success over there finding lost family members.  Just a few weeks ago I got to meet up with two of my girl cousins that I had not seen in over 30 years.  Long story as to why everyone lost touch.   And guess what ....they grew up next town over from me...  One of them still lives one town over so I was able to meet them there a couple of Fridays ago (the other one now lives 7 hours south but came up to visit her sister and mom).  Thier dad and  my dad were brothers.  It was a great visit.  The cousin who lives next town over wanted to meet my hubby and girls so her family and my family met for lunch this past Sunday to have lunch at Red Robin after church.  The only bad thing was that the atmosphere was too loud to really have much conversation and my girls and her girls were too far across table to really talk...  So I am hoping to have them over this summer and let Joel grill..>Which is what I should have done in the first place.

ALso this past weekend Joel's cousins who he hadn't seen in 25 years came to our house to meet their mom, Joel's aunt who came to town to visit.  They hadn't seen each other in many years also and had even lost for awhile how to even get in touch with each other.   One of them had a little girl Emma's age and they played really well together.

Baseball is finally over, Emma had fun but in the end she was just ready for it to be over.   Last day of school is tomorrow.  At Emma's school awards night she won for Highest in Reading and for A-Honor Roll.   Anna had her little school program tonight.  Her class sang "Gumdrops" .. very cute.  Amberly is happy school is over.  She turns 16 on the 8th.  She is wanting to find a summer job.  She has put in several applications.  But first she is going to her dad's, probably this weekend and will stay for a week or two.    Brittany had her first U/S last week and there is only one baby.. no twins, lol.  She is due December 19th, two days after her birthday.  I still haven't decided what I want to be called yet, lol  Maybe Mimi, maybe Sweetie.  Grandma would be fine but Britt says no way.

Other news around here is that Hubby is retiring this month.  He has been with his job for 20 years.  He is only 40, lol.  The plans are for him to stay home for a month or two then go to work somewhere else...don't know where else yet, lol.   His job was really stressful to him the last few years and with changes being made there it was just time.  He is young enough to work another 20 years somewhere else.    So Emma will stay with him this summer instead of paying for daycamp for her.. So I just pray that I won't come home everyday  only to have to clean up a messy house...lol.

Well that's all I got for now..  I do ask for special prayer for my husband as he is also dealing with some health issues.  We know that God is in control though but doesnt hurt to stay in prayer about it.

    Have a Blessed evening.

My Favorite Verses

Psalm 34 1: I will bless the LORD at all times; 4: I sought the Lord, and he answered me, And delivered me from all my fears. 2Timothy 1 7: For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
